How to stock up
Start with one cuisine you cook most, and buy only what your next few recipes need. Sauces and pastes keep for months once open in the fridge, but dried herbs and ground spices lose their smell fast, so buy those in small amounts.
An Asian supermarket or online grocer is usually cheaper than a supermarket for the bigger bottles, and has more brands.
